About
Cardboard Robots and Bad Ideas
Once upon a time, Retard-O-Bot was some dirtbags wearing cardboard robot suits on stage. We made demos, played shows and lived in vans with a special vintage aroma.
Wrote more songs, shows got bigger, tours got better. Somewhere between MySpace chaos and touring madness, it was clear something was working. If you were there, you remember it. If you weren’t, welcome, you get to learn it now.

The Sound
We Helped Establish a Genre
Our music is electropunk and post-industrial rock. Loud synths, fast drums, high energy, and screaming. It’s part punk, part electronic, and some parts that don't always make sense at first, until they do.
The songs can be short, sharp, and an occasionally unhinged. We make them with emotion, humor, synths, guitars, and whatever feels right at the time. Not overthinking it helps. Somehow, it's still working in 2026.
The Past/Future
It's Gonna Get Weird
We went quiet in 2009. Life happens. Projects happens. Shit happens.
In 2025, Retard-O-Bot came back with new music. “Story Arc” kicked the door open. “Monday Night Electropunk” kept it open. The sound is familiar but not a rerun. It's harder at times, still experimental, and we brought back humorous elements that were part of our early DNA.

Live Shows & Culture
Insane Shows, Robots Optional.
Retard-O-Bot live shows were a place to get out anything that you'd been keeping in. Energy, emotion, angst, laughs, movement, and chaos.
The culture is simple: be you, be loud, don’t be cruel, and don’t stand still. New fans welcome. Old fans already know what's up.
